I've been a follower of a blog called
Another Ordinary Miracle written by a sweet lady named Adrienne for a long time now. I've never met her in real life and, chances are, I never will, but I feel like I know Adrienne because she's always so open and honest.
I started reading her blog right around the time she adopted her little boy, Owen, from Russia. I was happy for her when reading about her excitement at becoming a mommy for the first time.
I was heartbroken for her when she suffered several miscarriages.
I was happy for her when she and her husband Jim were chosen by a birth mom to adopt her baby girl. They excitedly planned the nursery and bought little girl clothes.
There was heartbreak again for Adrienne when the birth mom changed her mind and decided to keep her baby. Adrienne had spent two days in the hospital with the baby and was already extremely attached.
After the disappointment of the failed adoption, I was happy for her yet again when another birth mom chose them to adopt her baby boy.
Unfortunately, that adoption failed too. Adrienne was in the delivery room when the baby was born and the baby was even given her husband's name as his middle name, and it still didn't work out. Another heartbreak.
Then another miscarriage.
Adrienne's faith always pulls her through. Her blog is not a depressing one, even though she's suffered so much in such a short time. Her sweet spirit just seems to come through the screen.
So I was happy for her and her husband again when they began the process of adopting a little girl from China. Their daughter Lily came home last fall.
Then the birth mom of the baby boy contacted Adrienne and Jim and wanted then to go ahead with the adoption.
Two new family members in just a couple of months. Wow! God is good!
Then she announced on her blog that she was pregnant and her new doctor had a plan of treatment that would help her be able to carry her baby! After all these years of wanting to be a mommy, she was going to go from one child to four in 12 months! I'd followed Adrienne through a lot of heartache so I was thrilled for her and her husband.
Saturday July 3rd, baby Bennett was born at 26 weeks. He was 1 lb 4 oz and 12 inches long. He's teeny tiny, but doing very well.
You can stop by
Adrienne's blog to read all about her journey over the last few years and see all the latest updates on sweet little Bennett.
She'd appreciate you stopping by and would love for you to pray for her, her family, and Bennett- her extra"ordinary miracle"!
